SPECIAL DARTS EVENING IN MEMORY OF CHRIS POLYKARPOU - Friday 19th June 2009

What an evening?  Great fun, entertainment, and competition.   Those of you who did not attend, shame on you, and what a treat you missed.  The family of Chris Polykarpou supplied the trophies, snacks and some competitors.   I did not realise that Chris played darts or his family, but the sons and grandsons took part on Friday and showed how passionate they are about it as well.   The first round took quite a time to complete as there were so many competitors, from the novice to the semi-professional and all had a whale of a time.    When the semi-finals started it became really fascinating to watch virgin players up their game significantly and do their utmost to reach the final.   However, the final winners were Matt and Damien (see photo below), Gill and John were runners-up, Paul and Martin third, with Dave Eyre and David Holdgate the losing semi-finalists.   The top scorer was Brian Airlie, who also received a medal.    Stelios Polykarpou (Chris's son) presented the trophies and said how much the family had enjoyed the evening and that they would like this to become an annual event in honour of Chris.   This is, of course, of great delight to the PRA and Clubhouse and the Chairman, Pat Reilly, said that the PRA would be honoured to stage this event on an annual basis.  Look out for the notices next year and don't miss it this time.   Even if you have never played before it is great fun and it was a joy to see so many people in the Clubhouse.

I know i said weekly lessons, but looking at the statistics of viewing for each article it looks like up to about lesson 2 people are ok, but get stuck after that.

So with that in mind i decided to leave the publishing of further lessons until people caught up.

Anyway i've just uploaded 2 new ones, please check all these lessons out they are very good.

PROPERTY buyers in Cyprus have reacted with shock after news broke last night that the government will not help to fix the title deeds saga.

A lorry belonging to the company repairing the roadworks along kolokotronis was gutted by fire tonight, despite the best efforts of the local police and fire brigade, it was totally burned out.
Images of the fire are below and i will add more in the morning.
Luckily the vehicle wasn't close enough to any property to cause any damage.
